31 Days Practice Workbook

Your days may feel full and busy.

This simple SGD 22 workbook gives you a gentle way to slow down, build consistency, and return to your calligraphy practice — one word at a time.

  • A simple, step-by-step daily practice you can follow right away

  • Guided word tracing to help you build muscle memory and confidence

  • Thoughtfully chosen words to guide your strokes and rhythm

If you’ve been wanting to practice…

but don’t know where to start

>> You’re unsure what to practice each day

>> Your strokes feel inconsistent

>> You want to improve but feel overwhelmed

With this simple daily practice, you’ll begin to slow down, steady your strokes, and build confidence in your writing. As you show up one word at a time, distractions fade, and your practice becomes something you can return to with ease.

Through a gentle, easy-to-follow structure, you’ll find your rhythm again and grow in both skill and calm — at your own pace.

What you’ll build over time

Muscle Memory

Train your hand through simple, intentional repetition.

Instead of guessing what to practice, you’ll follow a guided structure that helps your strokes become more natural and steady over time.

As you trace and repeat each word, your hand begins to remember the movement —
so writing starts to feel smoother, easier, and more controlled.

Consistency

Create a rhythm you can actually sustain.

This workbook removes the pressure of figuring out what to do next.
You simply show up, follow the word for the day, and begin.

Even with just a few minutes, you’ll build a habit that feels light, doable, and easy to return to — even on busy days.

A Sense of Calm

A quiet space to slow down and be present.

Calligraphy becomes more than practice — it becomes a moment to pause.

As you focus on each stroke, you may notice your mind settling, your breathing softening, and your attention returning to the present.

It’s not just about writing beautifully.
It’s about creating a small pocket of calm in your day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this beginner friendly?

Yes. This is designed for complete beginners and those who want a simple reset.

Q: Do I need special tools?

A brush pen and printer is enough.

Q: How long do I need daily?

5 to 10 minutes is enough to see progress over time.

Q. I'm struggling with controlling the brush pen. Any tips for better control?

It's completely normal to feel a bit shaky at first, but practice makes progress. I will be guiding you through pen handling and to work on your grip—hold the brush pen/pencil at a 45-degree angle with a loose hand. Practice basic strokes, drills, and letterforms diligently. Consistency will come with time and patience. Remember, even the pros were once beginners!

Q. I'm feeling frustrated. I have tried brush pen calligraphy BUT my work doesn't look as good as I want it to. What should I do?

Oh, frustration is a familiar feeling for anyone learning calligraphy. The most important thing is not to give up. Be kind to yourself and remember that every stroke and every practice session brings improvement. It's about the process, not perfection. Embrace the imperfections as part of your unique journey in calligraphy. You'll look back and be amazed at your progress.
